The Critical Materials Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin was formed to examine the complex supply chains of our world’s most critical materials. Critical materials are vital to infrastructure, modern technology, and national security. The CMRC will be led by the Bureau of Economic Geology and adopt an interdisciplinary approach to our research, in collaboration with the Jackson School of Geosciences and UT Energy Institute.
